Wisconsin 2019 Furbearer Trapping & Hunting Permit Application Deadline Aug 1st  Aug. 1 is an important deadline for Wisconsin trappers and hunters who wish to pursue bobcat, fisher and river otter this fall. Permit applications for fall trapping seasons can be purchased for $3 ($6 for bobcat applications) online or at DNR service centers, and at all license agents. Drawings will take place in August, with permits issued in September.   Wisconsin Disabled Hunters Sign Up Now for 2019 October Deer HuntWisconsin eligible disabled hunters hoping to participate in the 2019 gun deer hunt for hunters with disabilities must contact a hunt sponsor to sign up before Sept. 1. Florida Angler Catches Sate Record Flathead Catfish  Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) fisheries biologists certified a new state record flathead catfish weighing 69.3 pounds, measuring 47 inches long, with a girth of 34.25 inches, caught by angler Marvin Griffin from Santa Rosa County. The 2019 winter and spring aerial surveys of deer populations in Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks’ Region 7 revealed above long-term average numbers for both mule deer and white-tailed deer. “We had abundant precipitation last spring and summer, which made for excellent forage conditions and deer going into winter in good body condition,” said Wildlife Biologist Melissa Foster.
