The 2019-20 deer hunting season in Connecticut opens with bowhunting on state land Sept 16 and runs through Dec 31. Shotgun and Muzzleloader season follow. Unsold lottery permits can be purchased online until sold out or the season ends. NEW: Archery hunting for deer will be permitted on approximately 4,390 acres of designated land located in the Centennial Watershed State Forest.
