Michigan 2019 Lake Trout Possession Limit Changed on Grand Traverse Bay

Michigan anglers fishing for lake trout in the waters of Grand Traverse Bay this year need to be aware of a new regulation now in effect. The Michigan Natural Resources Commission recently acted to reduce the daily possession limit of lake trout in these waters from two fish to one. ODFW has set regulations for a spring Chinook fishery on the Hood River: Open for adult hatchery Chinook from April 15 through June 30 from the mouth to mainstem confluence with the East Fork, and the West Fork from the confluence with the mainstem upstream to the angling deadline 200 feet downstream of Punchbowl Falls.
