Four Invasive Carp Confirmed in Minnesota Waters

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has confirmed the capture of a bighead carp and two silver carp, and detection of a third, tagged silver carp, within the past several weeks. The bighead carp was captured at the Xcel Energy King Power Plant in Oak Park Heights. North Carolina Angler Lands New State Record for Redbreast Sunfish  NC angler Alphonso Jackson broke a 36-year-old freshwater fish state record on June 10 after landing a 2-pound, 1-ounce redbreast sunfish from the Lumber River in Wagram. Jackson, who is from Maxton, caught the sunfish using a cricket as bait. His catch breaks the previous record by 5 ounces.
