The Virginia Department of Game & Inland Fisheries staff has proposed upland dove hunting for the 2019-20 seasons. Dove season shooting hours have been expanded. Shooting hours for opening day (Sept. 1) remain from noon to sunset, but for the remainder of the season, shooting hours are now open from ½-hour before sunrise to sunset.
