Idaho chinook fishing opened on April 27, with a two-day-a-week season on the Clearwater River and a four-day-a-week season on the Salmon and Little Salmon rivers. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) moved forward with several changes to reef fish regulations. Starting July 1, 2019, the following changes will be in effect: A restricted species endorsement and a federal permit to commercially harvest blueline tilefish will be required. New FWC Nonnative Species Rules take Effect May 2

New rules will help proactively protect Florida from invasive species becoming established in the state. The rules, which were approved by the Florida (FWC) in February, go into effect May 2. The new rules clarify rule language by defining key terms and add some high-risk nonnative animals to Florida’s Prohibited Nonnative Species List.
